What do you do at Colgate?
I am responsible for Sales & Marketing for Colgate's Oral Pharmaceuticals business in North America. My goal is to accelerate growth of our North America business through increased focus on internally developed new products and through focused consideration of external technology alliances and acquisitions.
Why did you join Colgate?
I joined Colgate because I felt good and proud about the company and its products. Colgate also offered me the opportunity to grow personally and professionally. In addition, I wanted to gain international experience by working in different geographies dealing with people of different nationalities and backgrounds. Colgate was the perfect choice for me.
How have you grown professionally since you joined Colgate?
Reaching the senior position of a Vice President, I've definitely grown professionally since I joined Colgate 16 years ago. Colgate provides exciting challenges both professionally and culturally, and if you're open to moving where the need and opportunity arise, you'll go very far in the company.
I have worked in Latin America, Asia, Europe and the US in various business areas, including Global Business Development, Operations and Marketing. These invaluable experiences helped me become a very knowledgeable professional with a broad category experience. And that broad experience and knowledge of the organization's products and people is what you need to grow and advance in your career.
What do you like most about working at Colgate?
It's the people and their professionalism. It's the opportunity to work as a cohesive team on challenging multicultural, multinational and multigeographic assignments. It's the experience of working on global creative strategies, solutions and business plans. And last but not least, it's the atmosphere of open, out-of-the-box thinking and broadened perspectives.
